red brick dust in Indian stone?

Hi All
I have a customer who has quite a lot of red brick dust that has been trodden into and left on their patio. The patio is Indian flagstones and it looks quite a mess.
It covers quite a large area and I was hoping someone would know how to clean it? It was last Autumn, so has been there for a while now. One large "patch" and then lots of footsteps going to and fro.
Many thanks.

I agree with Matt if it's just red brick dust pre wet it and clean as normal. Do a test area first.
