Been thinking for a while about offering a 9 clean a year service to all new customers. They would get a monthly clean between April & September (6 cleans) and then 3 cleans spread out over the winter months. However they would only be given one payment option, monthly direct debit. Ie: the customer pays £10 a month for a 9 clean a year service. Other services could be added to the monthly payment, for example, con roof, gutters, fascias, cleaned yearly/ twice yearly, extra £X per month.
This would enable me to work long days during the summer months and greater flexibility in the winter with the bad weather, whilst my income would remain constant. Also time to do other jobs, maybe a couple of weeks doing gutters in the autumn and some conservatory cleaning in March.
Maybe even offer week before xmas cleaning, to a limited number of customers, at a premium price, for those that would like there windows done just before xmas.
I realise not everyone likes direct debit payments and the marketing needs to be spot on for customers to accept paying a window cleaner that way, but people are using them more and more nowadays.
What do people think? Maybe some people already work this way?
Would it work? Any feedback good or bad appreciated.
