an air lock will be no water.
more like a faulty pressure switch, are you using a flow controller.

You need to turn the pressure cut off setting down. Either on the pump or on your electronic controller.

with this hot weather, everything expands more- mainly hoses. This allows much more pressure to build up as the expansion absorbs it to a degree. ;)

what actually burst the pipe or a connector.

when it first got hot a 2 months ago i had a hozelock keep bursting off, as i used a piece of cheap garden hose which when hot is very soft.

You need to lower the pressure cut off value to compensate for the heat.

How do I lower that  ???

turn unit on-

Press AND HOLD both up & down buttons together for a few seconds until a figure is displayed- (this is the cut of value/number)

Press & hold these two buttons again & the above value will start to flash.

While the values are flashing, this is when you can change the setting with the up/down buttons.

select a value & then YOU MUST turn the unit off & then back off again to "store" this new setting.

NOTE------- the values go from low to high 123456789ABCDEF.

You might have to play a bit to get it just right. I use 8mm hose so my settings will be lower than with 6mm hose but as a guide mine are- 7 in winter, 6 in summer & 5 with heated water.

Hope that helps. ;)

It may be that air is creeping in before the pump, make sure all connections are tight.
