If it was against her religion all she had to do was say just that - politely and ask you not to call again on a Saturday. Are we expected to be mind readers?

Don't shout at me I'm just offering a different commentary on her actions.

She may be in an abusive relationship and panics when people question her. There could be 101 things she is dealing with.
I would avoid stand up arguments with customers as they can cost more than the price of a clean.
A bad reputation can spread like feathers in the wind, to which there is no recovery.

can i also add, guess what she does for a living?....a collector for provident!,she informed me that if she doesnt get a customer in then she just collects double next time(with a fine of £15 to any customer each and every time they are not in to pay her!)
she didnt mind me cleaning her windows on a saturday, just hated me knocking her door after 5.00 on a saturday to get my money

abusive relationship? if u knew her you would chuckle,so that is completely ruled out!,as i say i have known her and her family for a long time, and it would be childish of me to suggest if there was any abuse then she would be the abuser and not the victim ::)

You are not legally (as you are probably aware) in the slightest bit wrong to collect on a Saturday.

I think if what you have said is exactly how it happened you havent put a foot wrong.

Why the f@@@ are people amazed that we need to get paid.

My new saying is "Ditch the B1tch"  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

...

I could start a really big debate at this point by saying the Sabbath is Saturday no matter whether you are Christian, Jewish or whatever. It was only moved to Sunday because of political reasons in Rome, not religious.

But I am not going going there, if you want to research it Google "sabbath" and fill your boots. It doesn't matter to me I am an athiest. I keep a bible on the same shelf as Harry Potter.

Very interesting read Vince - by the way, that bit I've highlighted in red - Harry Potter has a Bible on his shelf?  ;D
It's a game of three halves!
