Hi. Just looking at the possibilities of extending my business into pressure washing. I wondered if anybody on her has tried to promote this service via networking groups?

If so, what are your thoughts

Often it's a matter of luck. You can sometimes come across the 'deal of the century' and sometimes nothing.

My feeling is that local business clubs are best for the cleaning trade. Usually a small (say £50) annual membership and a chance to meet business people from your town. Personally I avoid the £500 a year breakfast clubs which place a lot of pressure  on you to turn up regularly and give referrals - not always easy to do.

Never 'push' your service. Just chat to as many people as you can and give out plenty of cards.

These business clubs are themselves a business run by the organiser. Handy for meeting new people and talking about things but most of the people are not really established enough to pass much work your way.

depends which one you go to, the one i go to works for me, you do get some that are not established but you also get some very established companies / people there
