Clean Safe /Impact43,.... My Position.
« on: June 21, 2011, 05:18:40 pm »
After a conversation on the phone today with Andrew Willis I felt it only right to post on here to explain my position now.

As far as Impact43 is concerned I am not entirely sure why they are being dragged through the mud.
People have said to me that impact 43 are taking customer details from the course and then canvassing them! Within Clean Safe Window Cleaning .....a company they have shares in. That is utter nonsense. Besides how many people would go on a course and offer up their customer list anyway?
I honestly feel the QCF course I am on is a good one and of value to any window cleaner. It promotes safety and good working practices which I firmly believe in.
I am now moving my company towards more commercial work and having qualifications is always looked upon with favour by companies, so I would say to anyone thinking of getting qualified, do it!

Just trying to protect people from what appears to be a serious threat if they step out of line.  Not everyone's read that thread, so they may just jump in and make a statement that has ramifications.

Change the record ??? Vin

Exactly.

And if impact do canvass punters custards that take part in their courses more fool the punters for handing over custards details  :P I mean are they really really really that thick to give their business details away?

Guys the witch hunt is going abit far

The willis' are good lads

They made the statement about court proceedings after being wrongfully slandered

Someone said that they were going round asking for custies prices and slashing them , and that they were taking details on courses in order to take customers

Now the first one despite seeming unethical to many IS NOT ILLEGAL and there is no proof cleansafe practice this.. and the second one they have confirmed is not true and is therefore libellous, plus i have been on the course and know it is an untruth

They get a hard time on here for promoting a course that is free and very informative

If they step out of line then fair enough

But so far i can't see where they have deserved the bad press on here! I think it just turns into a witch hunt on here very fast if people dont like something ie an nvq for window cleaners, or some competition

Also i understand that Vin is warning people about the possibilty of there words being taken seriously however unless you are going out of your way to slander them i don't think they will go to the trouble of paying court costs, they will not be worried about some forum banter, but there is a line and they dont expect it to be crossed as none of us would

Now where is my commision :)

The reason i step in for them at times is that having dealt with them a find them a good bunch of lads and whenever ive needed advice they have took out time to chat especially andrew, i think there should be more companies like them

Bit of turnaround mate.
Yesterday you said your customers had told you directly that the company in question had blatantly offered to undercut you. And you were not sure you could do business with someone you could not trust?

Thats right I did say that. So today I decided instead of discusing it on an open forum that was full of mis truths I would speak directly with the people involved.
After a conversation with Andrew I am happy that Impact 43 are a legit and honest company and therefore will continue the NVQ course I am in the middle of.
As far as the other alegations I do not wish to discuss it on here, other than to say I am happy with what was said between Andrew and myself and I dont think there will be any more problems.
We all have to work in the same areas, so better we get on and mabe even help each other than have unhelpful friction.

Government funding for training is being cut back.

Business`s reducing or doing away with training.

If you are going to replace lost income with revenue from window cleaning then you are going to need to go in hard and fast and expect to upset plenty of people on the way. So i suggest they get used to the flak. Its not a way to make friends.

Sorry Neil I think I owe you an apology.
After re-reading my post it comes across as if I am being "bitchy".
This was not intentional, so I apologise.
This subject has not directly affected me or my business so I will refrain from commenting on it any further.
