Hi herbiefatboy

We did the upper floors for a local Asda and it was a corker of a job - £300 for a few hours work for 3 of us.

When a new manager took over he wanted to know why they were using local w/c's when there was a company contracted to do the whole store anyway.

Whatever price you decide - make it a decent price as the person who awards the work will be divorced from what the work entails.

Hi eddie d

The company who our local Asda used which I understood as having the national contract was called City Clean. Maybe they've changed companies now.

Cheers

This really annoys me when a national company take on contracts and does a really bad job, there is an Asda across from one of my commercial jobs, and it`s in a terrible state,it happened to me with Safeway when Morrisons took over and dumped me for a larger contractor and yes they are doing a bad job i used to get compliments all the time about my high standard of work and then i get dumped for someone whos more expensive and useless,so if you are saying that Asda may well want a better window cleaner then go for it,because after reading your post im going to have a word with the dirty hole that is ineed of some tlc,all the best with your quote,Gaz.

£30 ...  :o

I think Asda is maybe having problems with cleaning/window cleaning.

Today out of curiosity I went by the Asda at Brighton Marina and the windows all over were filthy. Not just a bit marked but properly filthy.

I asked the girl at  customer enquiries if I could speak to the person in charge of 'services' as I was a w/c etc etc. While waiting for the person the girl said the whole place was disgusting and had been for ages.

I spoke to the services manager, or what ever her title was, and explained that we used to do the first floor windows and they were all filthy ...and so on.

She took my details and I gave her a business card but she said her hands were tied and yes, the whole place is in a state. She also added that other stores were also complaining.

Maybe all is not happy in Asda world?

the trouble is the window cleaner uses trainee boys and some dont give a toss if theres streaks all over the place, or paw marks unless you have time to cheake and do a walkaround while there on site which i should guess is difficult you dont get your moneys worth

when i had my window cleaning company running all over the south of england we looked after most of them in the south we also did brighton marina, ( when you could sit up stairs in the staff canteen and look at the rock face wow) ,
i believe city took it over but there was a great deal of help for city from asda!!!!!!!!!

dont keep tabs on it nowadays.
