lying for 14k work a year
« on: June 19, 2011, 05:12:03 pm »
with all the threads on undercutting and how you will burn in hell for doing it

i know a wc near me who  was asked one day why he never comes to clean all these jobs and always sends some one else,  he said i dont do them jobs,  yes you do,  we give your business partner the work as he said he work with you,  but we never see you, just him or some other lad,  bloke said i dont have a business partner i work on my own

basically what happened was, whislt a wc was cleaning  a bloke came up to him asking did he know this other wc as he wanted to give him work, bloke said he worked with me,  so you can talk to me, turns out its 14 k a year, all commercial,  these wc are meant to be friends

since undercutting is moral wrong, what are peoples view on this, as he didnt undercut him

Lying is unethical.

If the guy used his friendship with the guy who the customer thought was the 'boss', in my view he was being underhand.

How yould you feel if a so-called friend did that to you?

If it happened to me, I would be less than happy, not because I didn't get the work, but that my 'friend' was deceitful. If he had got the jobs on his own merit and had been honest, I would have been pleased for him.

John.

Being diplomatic is being able to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

I dont understand a word of your the opening post; as for smacking him, is that your answer to most things that frustate you in life, because if it is I can't see you having a legitimate business partner now or in the future.
