Worked a Saturday - 1st cleans
« on: June 18, 2011, 06:40:05 pm »
Never thought I would work a Saturday but was case of having to.

Ive been trying to fit 1st cleans in around regular customers but loosing too much time so done 3 first cleans today from 10.30 till 3.

All 3 jobs spread over the 3 corners on my area so thought work Saturday get em outta way ... it was great being able to take time, explain wfp to new customers, stop and have a chat and a cuppa

Added £414 a year onto round so good day overall  :D

Explained to customers that now gotta fit em into round so not to worry if im not around for a month or 2 month from today exactly.

Think will keep all new customers for 1 Saturday a month except those right next door to the ones Im doing there and then.

Did you pick up any new customers today? I worked a Saturday only once but picked up 4 new customers that morning.

Ian,

After having had that part of the conversation with a couple of customers who subsequenty forgot it and booked someone else because they thought I wasn't coming again, I suggest a quick call in four weeks (i.e. when they might be thinking you'redue) to remind them of what you said.

I work every Saturday, its part of my routine. Soon as I have got myself fired up enough this morning I am going out to do some that can't be done during the week because the parking is not allowed mon-sat.

You lot are just a bunch of part timers!

I work around 3 out of 4 Saturday afternoons. I have a handful of fortnightlies which get done then, plus any other odds and ends that need clearing up.

John.

Being diplomatic is being able to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

 ;D yes I am

used to be in motor trade working 7 days a week until jacked it all in last year and have taken a year or so off from working weekends ... though used to canvass weekends when first started out.
