I would suggest you get someone to train you up to use the tools. Pref not one of your potential competitors though.

I can train you up for a full day. Rate is £200 per day. I will talk you through all the aspects of starting a business and you will leave the day ready to work.

Number availiable on my website.

This is a nice thread for nice people and then you have to go and bring erotica into it, such as, ahem, 'Ionics'.  You perverted creature, you. I can’t help it now:

Thermoooo purrrrrrreeeee

There, I’ve said it and will deal with my semi when I’ve had a nap. I’ve nothing to be ashamed of.

Apologies, but Ian101 started it, now carry on with the help!

C'mon, let's help the guy out.

Getting the correct ladder is important; but it's that long ago since I bought a decent one, I can't really help.  You need the ones with yellow feet; not cheap B & Q domestic ladders.

Can anyone help me out with what ladder the OP needs?

No I'm totally serious. The guy will spend weeks on here and get 100 different views on everything.

He wont be able to learn how to trad clean until he 'actually' does it by which time he may well have spent money on things he doesn't need.

I have recommended in the past spending a week with a window cleaner to learn the ropes.

Half the posters will tell him to go WFP, give 100 different views and he will prob spend £100's needlessly.

He may well buy a trolly when a van mount would be better or by a van mount when a trolly would be better.

Actually spending the day with someone giving them one to one training and the in's and out's of the industry is IMHO worth a days pay.

I doubt there is another industry that will do that.

'Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach him to fish and feed him for life'

If anyone is serious a day with a pro having his undivided attention is the quickest way to guarentee a return on your money.

I guarentee they will save that amount in the first month. Let alone the time saved by having to filter through the rubbish printed on here by posters who dont have the abilities to match their ego.

A little parable about paying for advice:

There is an old story about a multi-million dollar power plant that had mysteriously ground to a halt. All efforts to restart it had failed and an expert was brought in. After studying the problem for a few minutes he took a hammer and hit one of the valves. With a rumble, the plant came back to life. Incredulous glances were shared, grateful cries and high-fives were exchanged. Later, the expert’s bill arrived for the amount of $10,000.00. The outraged executive in charge thought “All he did was hit a valve with a hammer, this bill is ridiculous.” he asked for an itemized breakdown and the consultant responded with a bill that read: “Hitting valve with hammer $10.00. Knowing which valve to hit: $9,990.00.”

Good luck with your start up!
Speak to window cleaning warehouse, they are pretty good and reasonably priced!
Try and tap up a trad window cleaner for as much info as you can get.
I do trad and wfp.
I am in KAAAAAARDIFF but I would be glad to offer any advice I can!!!!!!!!!!
