my digital flowcontroller from pure freedom seems to be coming out full blast all the time.i plug hose reel into trolley and no matter what setting i put it on it doesnt seem to alter the flow!

ive used nearly 350L in 5 hours today and ive tradded a few ground floor windows!!anyone know what to do?its been running fine for over a year now until the last couple of days.

350L would normally last all day.i dont want to be going home for a re fill in my working day if i can help it!

any help and tips would be welcome guys!as im pretty clueless at the moment!!

if you cant adjust the flow with the up and down button, there must be a fault with the controller, it would be best to contact pure freedom.

no but i think ill autocal it again tommorrow.i like a high flow but not as high as it is at the moment!its like a jet wash almost!!i can work faster but its still too much water and too much pressure coming out of the jets.

has nobody had this problem using the digital varistream from pure freedom?

i usually have it on 60 all the time but since moving to slightly thicker hose(6mm instead of 5 mm)ive turned it down to 40 but its still gushing out at a tremendous rate!!

think ill try it at 25 and see if it makes a difference.i was using 300L on a good full day before the van mount.now im running on empty by 2pm(350L gone in 5 hours!!)and thats including tradding the odd ground floor windows!!

its frustrating!!

mate you say you changed hoses,put old hose back on and all be ok.so not the controller.

i have 100m of microbore now i have a tank.i used 30m of 5mm extension hose on my trolley before.

ive decided to take the day off and have a mess with it.gotta sort it today if i can.350L should last me all day.

ive been turning it up full blast then gradually turning it down to zero then ive left it at 50 for the first job of the day tommorow.seems to be working ok now!thank God!!

only got 4 commercial jobs to do tommorrow then im having a few days off to look after my missus before starting back monday morning.

I SEEM TO BE BURNING THROUGH MY WORK A LOT QUICKER WITH A VAN MOUNT!!

im saving around an hour a day!!

I thought you used your trolley as a van mount. If that's the case why do you need a separate flow controller? Isn't that just duplicating the job of the trolley?

steve i am using the flowcontroller on the trolley!!this is the one thats been playing up!!

seems to be working again just fine!

Funnily, when I added 30m extension, I kept getting DE error, basically the pump thought there was a blockage. Recalibration seemed to fix it though. I think whenever we change a way of working, it throws up issues that we have to resolve.

I will be following you soon with a tank and reel. At the moment though I don't earn enough to justify it, but leafleting like mad now. Picked up 21 new customers so far this month.

How do you sort a DE error out?? ours is always flashing it!!!!! got no instructions as bought the van second had

when i stop the flow from my tap it always shows DE (dead end).i thought it's normal.it's like that from first day

mine shows PS when i turn the flow off(pressure switch).when it shows DE i re calibrate the pump.thats sorts it out although its only happened twice in 13 months.

Yes this is basically right. The controller will show PS to protect the pump and battery if pressure is to high It can also mean there may be a break in the circuit somewhere too.
Although a Dead end can happen for a number of reasons if the pump is cycling on/off it may be that the Calibration is to low If you are using a V9 digital unit the Auto Cal function should sort that pretty quickly.

Re dazz initial post not sure why it would pump under such high pressure although the change in hose may have an impact. also could be that the calibration is to high looking to recalibrate is the way to go. a question springs to mind Did you have the pressure switch in line? or off line?

For those using a V9 digital controller and do not have instructions the distributor should have a copy.
