Ok my water in my area is 430, the RO after i flushed out the 3 vertical filters then linked up horizontal membrain and filtered 50L of water just to bed it in abit after after 25L it the water was tds os 24 then another 25L it now stays at 18 tds.

I have the DI resin coming tomorrow then with link up the Di to my RO hopfully to bring it down to 0.00
Is that about right tho for the RO to bring it to 18, then the DI to do the rest of the work making it 0.00?

Got a 11L DI. and using a 300GPD RO it produces about 25l in about 30 mins as i timed it.

017 seems fairly reasonable for 430 at the tap.  Production level sounds good for one of those types of RO.  I only get 90 litres an hour from a 40" HF5 - though water pressure is low there.

Yes i have water pressure reading on machine of 125psi have a booster pump on RO which helps.

I thought 430 was bad, i was expecting 450 to be fair but on tds meter it reads 427-433.
Hopefully my DI will bring it down even more, got the tank just waiting for my resin which should be delivered tomorr.

do you think that my RO needs to settle more and it will bring mine down further, only pumped 50l out of it?

Cant remember how long they say to flush new membranes, think its a good couple of hours before using the water for work. Give it a bit longer, they should settle down a bit more hopefully.

well first i flushed out the 3 vertical pots, as disconnected top membrain as i was told you can ruin ya membrain if you dont do this so flushed it for a good 3-4 mins, then connected membrain. then just filled up 2 25L barrels.

Maybe if I fill up a few more it will come down even more. Do you remember how much you had to pump out yours to get 10?

Does it not have a flushing tap by the membranes?? If it does you should have it in line with the pipe to flush,90 deg to the pipe for filling up tank/containers. Will need a damn good flushing to settle in. Should think you will need a good couple of hundred ltr's through it before it settles down. Also the tds will be higher each time you use it for a few mins before it gets it down to where it should be.

no it dont i folloowed the instructions and it said dissconnect membrain pipe top horizontal one, and flush out the impurites in vertical ones before letting it run fully, so did it like that.

I will run it later and knock out another 100 L and see what the reading does then.

It should come down further. My tap tds is higher and still get it between 5 to 10,and membranes are a couple of years old now!
