Does anyone do a milk round to gain extra money? cash flow etc or has done one then go out late morning or afternoons do window cleaning

No, sorry Dave, I don`t know anyone, but.....
A lad used to work delivering milk for a small local firm and then give me a hand on the windows when he`d finished.
He found it hard at times, especially in the winter. He ended up going full time on the windows.
Good job really because the dairy closed not long after.

I don`t think another income is always a bad idea for window cleaners though.

i looked at delivering milk at one time but its a 3.00am start until your finished.
and i have seen the milk floats going back at 11am, so it would be a full days work, before you start your windows.

my best friends dad  had a big milk round with 5 lads , a MAZDA 1600 pickup, etc etc / thiswas years ago,in the glory days of milk  .

hard work milk rounds; you have to get the money in;
did one 12 yrs ago walked away with about 500 owing
cost more riding round in derv to get it in
thank god them days are gone anyone taking a milk round on wants there head testing
i can walk into jack fultons and buy 2ltrs for £1.15 now
couldnt buy it for that price in 98

when i started window cleaning i had a small round .( i didnt have money to buy one )so to keep my head above water i was a caretaker ( posh word for a cleaner )at aldi s .few hours early morning 6 days a week .untill my round built up .

The local milkmen are all franchisees around here and we have a good chat every week with ours. He gets up at 2.30 a.m and finishes deliveries around midday, he then has his paperwork to do etc etc and the franchise still want him to take on more customers!
For holidays he has to rely on another local milky (same named franchise) to cover him and he returns the favour.
Realistically the 2 different industries would not work together.
