Marks from water?
« on: October 10, 2005, 05:52:30 pm »
Well I decided to start telling some of my customers about wfp today, preparing them for my future plans, promptly decided, not to as it was taking so much time, too many questions, so they'll get a leaflet when I'm ready.
One question that came up has been raised on here recently:
If purified water works so well, won't it draw the dirt from old bricks under windows/tiles under dormers etc?  Leaving streaks?  Especially when done repeatedly.
What is the answer, you Scientists/Artists?

Thanks for the above Dave,  ::) I did want to know that, even though it doesn't belong on this thread.

Yes, pure water will leave streaks on certain types of brick. I was at a site last week which I've been cleaning for 6 years and only just noticed 'clean' patches under each window. The bricks are a roughcast finish, or they were, as it seems to have smoothed them as well!
Perhaps I'll give them a quote to do the rest of the walls!
