Extreme brush and bird poo??!!
« on: June 03, 2011, 08:32:02 pm »
I'm currently using a sl mono brush and sometimes struggle to get the crusty stuff off.

Is the extreme any good for well on poo as its a much softer brush?

The scraper is the top edge of the stock, it's shaped to a sharpe edge all along it.

To be honest, I don't use the scraper as I use a normal brusg socket on it & this protrudes a bit further than the top edge of the stock & actually makes a good scraper itself. ;)

Damn, I cut and filed my socket down so I could use the scraper, only to find the stock was bowed and hardly touched the glass. Gardiner's have said the new extremes are perfectly straight though.

My new Xtreme stock is perfectly straight but I still use the protruding socket edge. ;)

Gardiners have a new socket that should make the scraper more useable with an adjustable goose neck.

So, has anyone got the new straightened extreme with the new socket and if so....does the scraper actually do it's job any better?

The brush(extreme) is good, but what the brush don't get the scraper makes short work of. I thought it was a bit of a joke when I first saw it but it works very well.

Vikan are still the top sellers
Aerial brush i expect are fast on there heels
so you can have all the exteme brushes you want
you must have missed smudger's review of the aerial brush
its about money, not messing about with equipment
you start off earning £30ph then should go up
wont happen for everyone though  ::)

i wish the owners of aerial, would send out a few brushes to independant cleaners, with no interest in other companies, to trial these brushes,
if they are so great it can only be good for business,

think you missed your chance steven, on that one
the reviews I have read on here have all been positive
if you do get one
it will take time to get your head around how much quick you can clean
if your not going to use like that, dont bother just use any brush

They are seriously fast, smudger has had his for a month
but I bet he still uses it slower than it could be used
I know I did  ;D

No the title of the thread doesn't say it all. It asks a question as to wether it is any good.

As for the aerial brush and bird poo, if it's baked on then it needs scrubbing like any other brush.
