A customer of mine has a lukazade stain on a light blue bedroom carpet.its still orange but has been there for about ten years.Just was just wondering if there was anything that would shift it.I said its unlikely after such a long time.

This is worth a try:

Spray with general spotter, blot, spray with Chemspec Help Mate, dwell, neutral rinse.

Irn Bru comes out like this and it looks like Lucozade.

If it was reasonably fresh then it might be worth a stab but not 10 years, and probably the same after 10 hours.

I removed a 2 year old Irn Bru stain from an 80/20 last week, so it may be worth a try.

very unlikely you will remove it as others have saild even in short time periods these stains can be permanent .

If you are going to have a stab at it make sure you correctly qualify the custys expectations and make it quite clear it is highly unlikely you will be able to remove.  be carefull using reducers such as help mate and spray and go ( sod met based products )  they give of fumes.

Make sure the customer is fully aware its their stain and you are not taking reponsibility for the out come .

Just done a blood spillage at a vey nice country house and they showed me a big lucozade stain on a new wool carpet light brown in colour i have told them it probably wont come out but if anyone can give me some pointers i would be grateful.Regards Alan(swindon................centre of the unknown universe)

Got one out last week from 80/20 by first attempting to use a microsplitter spotter on it which not surprisingly did nothing. This was followed by stainpro which did lighten it so repeated which didnt make any more difference. Tried Prochem Red rx which lightened it again so repeated again. Finally used hot iron and towel which removed every last bit of colour.
