Black step treads
« on: May 19, 2011, 11:18:43 pm »
We clean these stairs and the treads have black treads which I would like to clean.  Not sure if they're plastic or rubber, any ideas how to clean?

Hi,

I take it you are referring to the thresholds on the edge of the steps. Internal stairs.

Most are plastic and depending on the quality sometimes also have a metal bar.

A general cleaner will be fine, normally we just mop or wipe them with a damp cloth.

Obviously if they are really dirty and tick you will need to use a degreaser. If they have bubble gum on them just scape it off.
