builders clean for a lot of new builds
« on: May 19, 2011, 10:27:18 pm »
been asked to quote to clean near 100 new build properties for after builders cleaning. we do after builders but for smaller one off properties and it's usually for the owner so would like to know what people would do for this?

i have my doubts how real it is as it was emailed from a yahoo account with little info which is only ever other companies however if not i'd like to try forr it.

i'll ask to see the work or type of work at least but what do people do if the customer says you can't due to building work?

Would people charge per hour for this or simply say £150 per property multiply by 100 properties?

Don't email prices.

If the client is genuine they will be happy for you to see the work whether or not there is works in progress. Just take along a hard hat, hi Vis and safety boots.

They will walk you round. We have plenty and been on plenty of sites with more than 100 homes so not an issue.

As I am sure you already know, if you go in at £150 per house x 100 you wont get the work. You need to be very competitive on price on these.

You also need a copy of the works that they want doing. You need to be specific and very clear what is and what is not included.

If it is genuine best of luck and wish you well

hi there

if they have got a site with 100 plots on it, then they would be issuing a tender pack for the work along with a schedule of the number cleans they want, as a  minimum. And more than lkely youwoulbe dealig with a QS.

Hi

Ask them to email you a set of drawings of the site then with a spec for the cleaning. You can work it out from this but they wont accept £150 a house

hi there

it all depends how may cleans they want per plot,
ie build clean, reclean, sparkle1,sparkle2
or
build clean, sparkle clean.

on some sites we get  a tota plot price of over £350 on others a plot is £120 there are so many variants.
