Why are you getting just a DI?  RO/DI can work out cheaper if you're in a hard water area.

I'm not understanding you.  What is there to get sick of.  My RO/DI makes pure water while I sleep?  I don't have to do anything to get sick of, or need to take a break from?

I can't help on price though; why don't you post a link of the vessel you're thinking of buying?
