Gardiners sl dual trim mono or single trim?
« on: May 17, 2011, 11:28:27 am »
hi all, im upgrading from a facelift fibreglass pole 20ft with a vikan sill brush, and have just ordered a slx 22ft with superlite single trim mono brush. I prefer mono to flocked brushes, but was wondering if anyone has compared the single trim mono sl to the dual trim mono??  most of my work is now higher than 1st floor and are maintance cleans. cheers m

I personally preffer mono single trim I feel it scrubs better with more bristle content on the glass and it still splays easy enough to get into corners of and above and around frames on deeper cleans. good choice IMO.
WE CLEAN BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT WITH WATER FED POLE WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHT.

I prefer the DT to the ST, the ST needs to much pressure, but the White xtreme is far better than both of the, lighter, better splay and feels nicer on the glass

I'll second that, the white Xtreme is a fantastic all rounder which makes life SO much faster & easier! ;)

The black Xtreme is softer if you like a softer brush & fantastic on delicate glass. ;)

I have both.

the white one is on a slx-30 and the black dual is on a clx-14. I like them both. The white one seems to be better for bird turds as it is stiffer. The black dual is looking like my favourite as it is easy to splay across the glass.

Though in your case either one will blow you away after using fiberglass and vikan.
if it is dirty it is fair game

I have the dual trim on my slx, never tried the single trim... you will find it much lighter than the sill brush!!!  :)

Buy both, you'll appreciate each of them then. ;)
