Canvassing and booking them in?
« on: May 16, 2011, 07:45:59 pm »
Hi
When going out canvassing, do you guys book them in a week later so you can get more people in that round/area, or get them done as quick as possible, trying to work out the dynamics to make it work smooth as dont want to make it any more hard work or make it more complicated than itis .

any views, how do you guys do it?

If you do fit them in quickly, make sure you tell them that the gap to their second clean may not be the correct interval as you have to fit them into your round in the correct spot.  They'll be fine with it as long as you tell them at the outset.

One vote here for leaving them at least a few days.

When you say to someone that their first clean will be a couple of weeks and they cut up rough, you've probably just weeded out a one-off.  The ones I like are the ones who I tell I'll be there first in a month and they say "No rush, but will you be regular afetr that?"

I used to be able to do the "clean you in a couple of days" routine but at the rate it's coming in now, I just book them where they fit into the round.
