ive decided to try a pole tap again on my 25ft SLX.ive also put the extreme brush on as well and ill give it a few days and see how i go on.

the main problem with the aqua-daptor is the added weight IMO.ive used it for nearly a month now and it does make a difference at awkward angles and reaching over extensions/conservatories.i have a lot of awkward windows to clean in the course of my work and its almost like having a vikan on the end!!not good!

some of you might think its not much of a difference but i beg to differ.i think it makes all the difference.

it makes any pole "top heavy".i also didnt like the fact it made my pole 6 inches longer as the closed length was 6ft!

good idea but its not for me.its also very expensive for what it is.plus i had a bad un by all accounts!with sub standard materials being used.to be fair aqua-daptor have been very good and have offered to replace it which is good customer service.

how have you guys got on with the aqua-daptor?

Try 4mmID silicon hose, even lighter and maybe a remote control switch on the pump.

I think the pole trigger is best once you get use to the loop.

Just finished mine used yellow heat shrink tubing to keep the pole hose tidy will be trying it in the morning

errr..??how does that work erith?the pole hose goes through the middle of the pole.whats all the hose taped up for?

the hose comes out the bottom of the pole  then to the tap and then to my trolley i use the yellow heat shrink tube to keep the hose in one place while in working i will still have the loop at the bottom though.

how did you ft the tap to your pole then pics please as i might have done mine wrong

I sent mine back because of the reason you just said. if i wanted to add more weight to me pole i would off put a vikan on the end.

It looks to me like the hose is permanently attached to the pole. Is that right?

put a tap on the goose neck so you dont get the loop on the bottom of the pole ,and leave your hose on the out side the the dirt does not go up the inside of the pole so the pole will last longer

Then how do you switch the water off from window to window when its about 20 feet high?

The AD is not for every1 - and i agree the mk2 makes the pole feel slightly heavier than the mk1
did - this is because the mk2 now sits right on the end of the pole so it's weight is further out in the air.
but that aside the water saving and ease of use far outweighs this very 'minor' disadvantage.

i had to do a round without the AD last week - not only did it take me 45 minutes longer than usual to do - i
used nearly 100 ltrs more water..

i've tried taps (both on the ground and at the brush head) remotes - pinching pole hose and they all have problems of one kind or another.

for me having the AD makes window cleaning quicker and easier.

From what I've read on this forum, they didn't work very well, and seemed to be more of a gimmick than something that really worked properly.

Guys, Jeff does it the simple, effective and easy way.  Just work with an external pole hose and bend it when you want the water to stop.  It's easy and has many positive points; like you can just remove your brush head very quickly when you're working in a tight space.

It's also far easier to extend and retract your pole when your hose is on the outside.

weather crap here this morning so i thought id put my aqua-daptor on my 22ft CLX.ive also put the extreme brush on the end.it seems ok.ive also put WD40 on the aqua-daptor which has loosened it up a bit as it was getting quite stiff.

flex and weight ok and the closed length is still shorter than the 25ft SLX even with aqua-daptor fitted.so i think ill use this on run of the mill domestics and the 25ft SLX for everything else.

That way ill get to use both poles  plus the added short closed length will come in very handy on some work and make it less cumbersome.
