Water Meters? Anyone care?
« on: October 05, 2005, 03:52:31 pm »
All you home producers
Does your water company have anything to say about your huge increase in water usage?
Do you think regulation could be on it's way?
So many windowcleaners, so much water?

I asked the water board (what an old fashioned term) about returning water from our RO process that goes down the drain back into the cold water tank.

They said it would be too contaminated as the TDS would be too high.

Work that one out then?

Gaz - I agree. Also, wfp users are helping to clean their drains as well.

slightly off topic, But, if you look at your water bill, they charge for your rainwater from gutters into downpipes into drainage.  Not supposed to go into same drain as waste water from kitchen etc.
But..
If you live in a new-ish property, builders put a soakaway for your rainwater, not into your drain/sewer.
Water company still charge you for rainwater into sewer!!!
Not a big deal per house..maybe less than .50p per week.  multiply that by all the houses with soakaways!!!  What a profit for doing nothing.
And you thought you could make money????/
