FACELIFT FIBREGLASS V SLX POLES
« on: May 15, 2011, 08:20:18 pm »
Hello all, fairly new 2 wfp and is going ok - I have a domestic round & at present using a facelift glass fibre pole (20ft) with a vikan high & low sill brush which i think is good and gets to all, but ive heard ( on here ) that the slx is a great pole with the light brush ? I know its lighter, but is it more ridged than the facelift and are the brushes any good on the glass? not sills. Got tennis elbow since switching from tad. thanks m

It's the difference between a horse & cart & a Subaru Impreza Turbo!!! ;D ;D

I've had the Facelift carbon & the Slx is far better than that, let alone the fibre glass one!

Vikan sill brush is, well, to put it bluntly, a joke! ;D

It's giving me arm pump & back ache just thinking about your current gear! ;D

The pole is a no brainer, very rigid and light, at 20 ft there is hardly any flex and the brushes are great at cleaning the glass.  I also manage to clean the sills with them as well.

Simon.

Bought a Facelift Fusion once because SLX's were out of stock. Heavy and bendy. SLX for me even though i've snapped every one i've ever had

No,but i bash windows closed with mine and a section usual snaps, just like it would with any other pole. Used to get 3 months out of Brodex poles. I don't go to work and fanny around you know, everything of mine gets well used  :)

Your right Gav,it was the days before they fitted stops and you just had that painted line that used to wear off and get all gritty and you didn't know how much pole was left in the other section :) Good old Rory, the long throw king!

i use the facelift gf upto 20ft with a sl brush and it does the job for me. the slx is far better to use but the facelift is much cheaper and i`ve never even had to ajust the clamps, i belive it will last longer. im not to fussy at small heights

same here luther i dont mess about myself, even when a customer says "shall i close all the windows" most of the time i just push them to, but if they are pushed right open then you have to give them a bit of a push, do u think the slx is not up 2 this?

The SLX is superb, but as Gav said,it was over extended. You can't over extend the new ones. I wouldn't use any other pole
