need to price a job - need help
« on: May 12, 2011, 10:12:44 pm »
Had to give a price for one lady for some time, could not get around or I had no time or she's not in...
Today I finally went to her, and to my big surprise, I stumbled into the big wooden gates. Phoned in, gates opened and in front of me stood this little castle.
I am new in this and still learning how to price those with 10-12 window houses. with bushes or without and etc.
and this one is 43 windows + conservatory.

43 windows includes and smaller ones and some very small ground floor.
Most windows - easy access, maybe 2-3 windows are more difficult. Behind roses. 2-3 windows over the roof, need to use pole or climb on top of the small roof.
all window frames are wooden - so no frame cleaning included.
conservatory out of 16 panels 40 cm by 120 cm, only sides to be cleaned (not roof)

I told the customer I need to think of how long it will take me to do the job and will come back with the price, she followed, "previous windy use to do it in an hour"

how much should I price it for ? in what time can it be done ?

Please someone advice me...

How long to travel to and from job?
If it was close to other work £50-£60 every 8 weeks
Spit and polish

it is very close to my work.
And if they will ask price for inside/out ? twice as much as for the outside ?
