Has any one used a greenhouse heater in there van over winter.

I am a bit worried about the hose, tank, pump, filters etc freezing up!

Being an ex lorry driver (long distance , nights out etc etc) I can hole heartedly recomend getting a eberspatcher night heater (runs on diesel about half a jam jar overnight) assuming your vans diesel not petrol that is.

Hi ChrisC

Could you explain a bit more. Thanks.

Would it help with the horrendious condensation during the colder parts of winter? Some mornings last winter the insides of our work vehicle were sodden.

Cheers

Kingfisher

its spelt as ive typed it
it was fitted in every truck ive driven
it burns diesel

cant find their web site
in a nutshell powered by electric pumps fuel from your tank spays it on to a glow plug it burns and a fan blows the heat down a metal duct into the air in your van

lovelly to get into a warm van 1st thing on a winters morn

hope this helps if not flag down a truck driver and ask him for brochure from vehicle handbook    theyve all got one

or ask at a comercial vehicle dealership

Thanks ChrisC and James44

Pity. Our work van is petrol.

Back to soggy days in winter with condensation everywhere.

Cheers

It looks like a good idea but a bit wasted on my tatty old L reg transit.

Its something I would get instaled on my next van.

Ive just ordered a  eberspatcher heater for my VW camper, they are a classic design, not altered since the late 50's (or so i am led to belive ;))
