Soffits
« on: May 10, 2011, 10:46:03 pm »
Hi all,

Someone's asked me to quote them for cleaning their soffits. I've never done it before and so am not sure how to price it. They don't look too bad dirt wise, just the normal grime that'd build up on anyone's home over time. Do you charge per metre or something like that? I've attached a picture of similar soffits.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

does she just want the soffits cleaning - the soffits are just the under part.

Have never been asked just to clean the soffits, always the fascia boards, soffits & guttering (visual parts)

personally i wouldnt just clean the soffits - always the lot.
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

i did a soffit/fascia clean with windows cleaned as well for a regular customer.it took me an hour.not bad for £46.it was a small 3 bed semi on  very compact estate work i do.

£20 each for front and back soffits/small front fascia

£6 for the windows.

i just soaked them and scrubbed away and finished them off with a microfibre in a fixiclamp on an extension pole.no tfr just tap water in my barrels on trolley!

no ladders climbed either.all from the safety of the ground!

i have a 4 bedder to clean on thursday.

soffits/fascia all around £60

windows £15

so £75 for 90 mins work(i reckon!)

soffits are hardly dirty but she insisted she wanted them doing!!so quick soak with tap water and srub, scrub, rinse rinse!job done!! ;D ;D

these add ons really are a good bonus in the spring/summer months.
price higher/work harder!
