Also forgot to add...once youve fitted these plastic collars, you just swap them to your next one and so on and so on  ;D

No1 section Unger fits inside the No1 section Harris.( A few wraps of tape will wedge it in but not adjustable).
No4/5section fits outside the base section of the Harris and is adjustable.

I have a harris that extends to 27 foot and also made a 4 foot short pole for ground floor cleaning. You can also make a 18 inch goose neck out of a Polex aluminium- crank, with flip release for quick action and adding a black flexi goose neck to the end it will get into many positions. At this point your harris is 28.5 long. The Harris Killer pole is born.

For routine run of the mill domestic two story (ground and first floor) work, the Harris is the best budget pole.  I never bought just one; I'd buy two at a time (for £15 I may as well) and each one would last me about six months.

this has been said before..dont use the clamps....extend pole...hold the hose and pole at the bottom of the pole this will keep it up. when finnished release pole hose and pole slides down..keep clamps for awkward jobs were needed.

Mine last over a year every time, leave about an inch or 2 where the you tighten the clamps up so youve got something to loosen off. You only have to "nip" them up to use them.

Get some black insulating tape and wrap it up then.

You can get a 32mm I D  insulation tube from the plumbing shops that will slide over the bottom of a harries pole with the help of a silicon spray. This will provide a worm pole and a good grip if raped with electric tape. I also put some plastic glue on the ends of this tube and pull tight with some tie wires to form a round soft end .
