Prices for scrubber drying - 5000 square feet
« on: May 10, 2011, 02:30:38 pm »

Hi Guys,

As the title says.

We have been asked to quote for 5000 square feet of warehouse. Its has been coated with grey industrial paint so easy to clean. We would require a scrubber dryer here.

Also would you you build in the price of the scrubber dryer..if we build that in the price would we not appear expensive. We do have them but they are all on other sites and I don't think I would be able to borrow them from other sites as in constant use.

Now the warehouse will be completely empty so completely open plan no nooks and crannies or things to move around.

It present its only a monthly clean done during office hours. Some prices would be appreciated.

regards

Dave

OK maybe I should re-word the post a little better.

I know what we as a company would charge to do it. That's easy to work out. As we have a job costing specification module. Plus every other company from one man bands to large corporate companies the price will vary considerably due to you overheads, labour etc.

However I was trying to just find out what other companies may charge so we could remain competitive.

If there are any companies that have at least 35+ employees out there wishing to respond to my question I would be grateful. The reason why I would like the response from larger companies is mainly due to the pricing structure would be more suitable to us. Where as a two man team working from home would have very low running costs.

So what would you charge on a monthly basis, excluding VAT as I can add this later.

many thanks

regards

Well that rules us out then as we only do this sort of general cleaning work as fill ins between large specialised contracts and we only have 8 PAYE Full Time Employees.  All our prices are always + VAT.

Oh, Sorry. I was taking that as your sarcastic side there...

You can get someone to sub that. However it will vary depending on the type of waste. Ball park figure is about £12.50 per lift. + VAT thats per bin. Now you could get it possibly cheaper.

Kevin,

I'm still interested in your price. Even though you only have 8 PAYE staff you will still be in the running with prices. Sorry I did not mean to offend.

Your price for £1200.

I take it you mean £200 per month. Baring in mind that a scrubber dryer would be around £700 2nd hand.

Now I am not sure if the machine can stay on site or if we would need to unload it on every visit although that's only one time each month.

Your thoughts appreciated

You asked for a ball park figure to clean 5000Sq Ft.  If you want me to quote you properly with an ongoing maintenance
contract I will need to look at it.  We have Scrubber Driers but they cost a little bit more than the £700 you mentioned.  I certainly would not look to transport a ROSD there every time either.  Neither would I leave one there unless they want to lease one from me.

Hi Martin,

I appreciate the feed back. I was not looking at the ROSD just the walk behind one.

I am looking at the site today.
