which ladders to get?
« on: October 04, 2005, 07:37:34 pm »
looking 4 ladders
the one on the right seems good for the reasons:

-can get to 1st floor windows
-sections are detachable, therefore useful for high ground floor windows (Victorian houses).
-botton part is not splayed, which although offers less lateral stability means that a rojack stopper can be used. (is this right?)

also, alternatively there are wooden ones, does anyone recommend this option.

I was thinking of getting the largest available, thats 6.25m extended. Is this what you might recommend?
Any help always much appreciated.

Hi Ben

I have that 2 section ladder in the photo there and got it from the same place.

The reason i got that ladder is that i can be seperated not all of them can be.
Handy for going over gates put one section either side.
I have the 3.50 mtr ladder but i have fitted it with non slip artculated feet again from that same supplier and have to say it's been a great ladder never slip or twisted feel totally safe up it.

the same supplier does nice looking wooden ones (http://www.ladders-999.co.uk/ladders_windclean.htm, bit heavier, but i'm thinking nicer to use and feel sturdier. looks like top detaches also. what do you think?
