Try

http://www.dotxls.com/free-templates/

there are loads of useful business documents free, including a P&L account, sales forecast, business plan, invoice templates and loads more.

Useful definitions.........

Profit : what you tell the bank manager about when you want to borrow money for a new van

Loss : what you tell the taxman about every January

"dont forget, cash is tax free!"

If you are looking for accountancy documents I assume that you don't have any accounts software at present.

Try Sage.  Brilliant support and you can pick up a copy from larger office supply companies or order it on the website.  The good bits are that you can upgrade to bigger packages as you grow and it is a well used software, there are lots of people trained to use it so as you grow you can hire a clerk to input your data.

Your Profit and Loss account will depend on what headings you are using.  If you are still stuck - email me: nora@arleysangels.co.uk and I will send you a spreadsheet back with a very basic layout.
