Is this true????

I heard on the radio the other day that if you dropped an electrical device in a bath full of deionised water, that it wouldn't harm you as the electricity needs the ions to travel through the water. Not considering trying it lol BUT is that possibly true eggheads :-)

I would say in theory yes, but the minute you get in the bath I believe the tds would rise from salts, dirt, sweat from your body

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

It's true-ish!

Thats how your TDS meter works: the fewer ions, the less conductive the water hence the lower TDS reading.

Bear in mind though that "000" in our terms is still very contiminated in electronics industry terms - they work to less than one part per billion.  I don't know how less conductive water at less than one part per million is, but I wouldn't jump in the bath holding a live wire to find out :P
