« on: May 05, 2011, 06:16:24 pm »
Hello
want a wfp trolley is it best to have the DI built onto the trolley I need a RO system so did not know weather its best to have DI at home and have all my barrels made up then compleate or weahter to have DI on the trolley so as soon as it hits the window it would of been polished secs before hand.

What you think guys?

Why?  000 TDS is 000 TDS whether it's just went through a DI, or went through a DI earlier.

I think - on a trolley - carting a DI about as well as all that water is daft.

It's just added weight and bulk.

If you run out of water half way through a job you can use tap water.

I was told by someone having water already Di in tanks after a while will lose its 0.00
so was best to have Di on trolley, i'm asking on here as I want a trolley and ive seen them advertised with and without, also how much should one pay? been looking on ebay had no such luck. :-( £500 with a DI is expensive.

as someone pointed out it would be handy if you ran out of water and had to connect to tap  water
thats what i was getting at.

That's complete rubbish.

so was best to have Di on trolley,

It will just add unwanted weight and bulk; trust me; there's no need to have DI on a trolley.  TDS zero is TDS zero, whether it's been through an RO/DI two weeks ago or two seconds ago.  It's the same.

An easier way to to carry a small DI bottle with you, and if you run out of water, top up using that bottle.  But there's no need to cart it everywhere with you on a trolley.

I would agree with Tosh. It`s more weight and you more likely to break the DI carting it about.
I think Dazmond keeps a small DI in his van in case he runs out of water. That seems more sensible. You could ask him.

ok cool, well I did think it be better without but wanted to get another perspective.

Ok what trolley do you reccommend, I think £500 is very high for a trolley, pump and batt thrown together.

The X-line and Purefreedom ones get good reports, but they are about £500.

if your getting a trolley as your main system then get a 50L PURE FREEDOM trolley.purify your water at home and keep a small DI in the van that will connect to a customers outside tap if needed.job done.

the problem with a 25L TROLLEY is you be changing barrels too often.if you have a lot of compact work with parking issues the 50L TROLLEY is a fantastic bit of kit.yes expensive but well made and robust.

get 30m OF 5MM extension hose to go with it then you can leave it in the van for stand alone jobs and you ll be able to clean 3 houses before having to move the trolley on very compact work.
price higher/work harder!

leaving purified water standing in barrels will not make the tds go up even after 6 months!!

defo do not buy a trolley with a di tank on the trolley mate.

trust us we know what we re talking about!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!
