I just checked the gov website, it is a grey area, travel to and from work isn't covered as part of the week, but travelling to your house/depot would cover that.When I worked on site the lads got paid from the time they arrived on site till they finished but not the travel. but I did because I did all the driving so I was paid from when I picked the first lad up to when I dropped the last lad off, but not when I drove home or drove to the first lad confused I am

It's from his place of work to his first clean; that's the issue. If during that period he's stuck for two hours in a traffic jam, then the employee is still working.
