On one side it says: Oi Missus! 'Ave yer winders done by us - it'll be your funeral if you don't!"
On the other side: "The last customer who didn't pay is in the back!"
It's a game of three halves!

It just says 'window cleaners' then its says 'who you gonna call' and on the bottom right is our freephone number. On the tubing for our poles it says 'we also do internals'.

I wanted to have 'we're overpriced', 'we do a bad job anyway' and 'who needs clean windows?' I also wanted to buy a second hand fire engine but was out voted.

If you're going to buy a hearse you need to have a sense of the theatrical otherwise it don't work. There was another w/c around here who used a hearse for a while but he couldn't pull it off. We all love it and we're now trying to work out how to put a manikin on the roof.

Anyway..... sorry Mr Moderator. That was off topic.  ::)

Thanks Peter Fogwill,  I've just been given the pole and brush I ordered from you from a neighbor.

I've been out in the street playing with it just now - and it seems a lot easier than carting a set of ladders about - but I think I'll need Ian_Giles to show me how it all goes together and where to wash first.

Brilliant service, mate.  I only stuck the cheque in the post today.

Hi Peter

I think the video link not working is a subtle sales technique of yours.

I'm even more interested now.

Cheers

Auto Brush

Hi,

Just wanted to let you all know about my new Auto Brush.

The link for the brush is at
http://www.window-tools.com/auto.htm

I will have better quality video clips in the near future.

Peter Fogwill
http://www.window-tools.com

Sorry for the delay in the new Autobrush.  Due to popular demand, and the fact that a large No. of people rinse separately after brushing the window, I had to completely redesign the brush to accommodate this.

I now have a product which completely controls the flow of water on the brush head, and will pump water whether the brush is on the glass or not.  The water will flow or stop only when you want it to.  The water saving should be quite significant, as the only time you are using water is when you are cleaning the window.  When moving the pole from window to window, or lowering or heighting the pole, or walking back and forth to the van, the water has stopped.

Depending on your pump set-up you should also see a reduction on battery consumption as in most cases the pump will stop when the water stops.

Apart from the above advantages there is also a big bonus for those of you who use two poles from the one pump.  Before you switched the pump on and the water would flow through the two brushes at once, whether you were cleaning a window or not.  It meant you always had 50% of the total amount of water that the pump could supply at any given time.  Now with having Autobrushes in use you can time it so that you can be rinsing as the other operative is moving to the next window, this way you have the full pressure available to rinse separately if needed.

There is also a safety element, I have in the past seen window cleaners rushing around when lowering poles, or moving from window to window, especially when there is obstacles in their way.  They are doing this to avoid too much water wastage as the water is flowing from the brush as they are trying to get to the next window- sound familiar?  With the Autobrush you are much more relaxed, as you are not wasting water when the brush is not on the glass.

The price for the Salmon brush complete with the necessary attachments to turn the water on and off will be £69.00 complete, price may change in the near future.  This is fitted with a metal angle joint, and two spray jets.

Orders can be taken now for early next week delivery.

If you need any more information please let me know,

Hi Peter

Q1 How do you keep the water flowing  when you pull the brush away from the window a little to rinse?

Q2 Are there brush size options? (The salmon that came with the system was too large for my taste and I changed to a vikan 10".)

Thanks Malc

Convince me Peter - I want to buy one if I believe it will work properly.

Malc, he doesnt need to sell this, it will sell itself. It works and its simple. It could be removed from the Salmon (once you see how its fitted )and adapted to any brush in about 15 min - if it  fits mine it will fit anyones. Its an impressive step forward just when I thought there was nothing new about. Buy one or three !

The rinsing is not hampered in any way, it is now completely different from the video clips on my web site.  I didn't get round to redoing the video clips because I had to redo the whole thing because people wanted to rinse separately.

I have a 12" brush and a 9" brush.

Did you try my mobile, 07751 964 450, I wasn't available for a while tonight I had a meeting at the school.  I will be available all day tomorrow.  If I am not on the land-line I will be on the mobile.

Yes I will be getting a hold of the Vikan brushes soon to make up a kit for them.  If anyone was interested in sending me any brush I could fit a unit on it for them, and send it back all ready to go.
