Could be fuel filter and if it is a diesel just have a look at the fuel pipe coming into the diesel pump as there should be a clear pipe to see if air is either coming into the pump and if it isnt but might be a pump seal. Hope this might help.  :) :)

Richy,

I had the same prob with my 05 plate combo before it got written off,

It was the air filter.

Cheers mate,

Dean.

My combo has done this from day one. Changed filters and had a diagnostic check, all clear so I still don't know what actually causes it. I have learned to live with it though and now it never bothers me. When I drive my Combo my driving style just changes to suit the juddering, usually by using neutral when ever I get the judders. It's really no big deal anymore now that I know how to handle it.

My vectra does it come to mention it, i believe its the egr valve. Is the engine management light on? Or emissions light?

i was thinking a getting a Combo, may not now.     its a shame and a mystery why  the japs/koreans arent making that size of van as they make good stuff  as a rule

im using an old Partner at the mo, its slow ,heavy steering too //  but was thinking the Combo 1.3 would be better on fuel  and nippier . this is for trad .  but i dont like hearing tales of faults that sour the experience

You hear something about ANY car/van. Every time i mention getting a new car people grit air through teeth "YOU DONT WANT ONE OF THEM"

Well every time ive gone and got one its been fine. People told me not to touch a vivaro but mine was amazing.

You can check for any fault codes with the pedals.

Press down acc and brake, put key in, turn onto second click, the one where all the lights come on, look at the spanner light, it will start flashing, if it flashes and doesnt stop there are no fault codes, if it flashes 10 times this means 0.

So for example I had a fault code a while ago which was 0141 to get that the spanner flashed ten times, then stopped for 2 sec, flashed once, stopped flashed four times, again stopped for another two seconds then flashed once again...

I got mine off my vectra by doing this  ;)
