pressure washing pricing
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:30:33 am »
Hi,
I want to add pressure washing to my list of services. I just have a pressure washer at the moment, around, 3000psi.
My understanding is with driveways, is to treat the weeds, etc first. Then come back and jet wash. put fresh sand in, if needed, seal it?
What chemicals do I need? How do you go about pricing patios, drive ways?

Cheers,
            Steve

It could be worse you could be getting the advice and info from a traveler I spoke to today. He will have landed in Skegness now as he was saying that's his next target area for canvassing. He does a mix up in a barrel of bleach and some other chemical and sprays on the drives as sealant. It shines, gets paid and he's off. They're all at it.

How much? Fifty-Hundred Pounds told when quoting(in their accent)

Bill. 1500 pounds.

Have a look at other threads. The answers you want are here mate.

I was talking to 1 last year, he was doing rooves and said 'we're con me!' I laughed and said 'what do you mean?' he said 'we just go around conning people!' Then went on to say when they are on the rooves washing they also break a few ridge tiles and then talk them into having them fixed aswell!
A customer I cleaned a drive also said she'd been done... £1500 to wash her roof, she was an elderly lady who paid it, she said they did it in a day!

thanks for the tip off on the pressure washing scam in skegness. as i live in skeggy i will be on the look out for them. ive posted warnings on several skeg websites, and will be letting the local paper know so they can print a warning in the paper. we had a gang last summer cleaning and painting roofs with floor tile paint which is no flaking off. they did a roof in two days and charged £1600 per roof

Looks like I've picked the wrong time to buy a Pressure Washing business in Skegness what with all the gypos!!  Still, I'm a local lad so should have an advantage!!  Will do plenty of polite cold calling because I've heard even holidaymakers do a few drives while there here to pay for their hols!!!  Should start trading soon after sorting van signwriting, insurance etc.  I'll be a frequent user of this site, learned loads already!!!
