Spraying chems on at height
« on: April 12, 2011, 11:02:35 am »
Do any of you ever have to spray on chemicals at height from the ground? Ive seen someone on here mae a extendable sprayer from a spray pack and an extendable lance, any of you ever use something like this?

If so can you email or call me or even just send me some pics of it. i need to get some chemical on a wall about 7m up.

I know i know, cherry picker, but i just thought id ask about the hybrid sel built extendable sprayers.. would be handy to have.

Cheers,

Matt

hi matt   most sprayer manufacturers do lance extension pieces    get as many as you want for the length you need                 depending on the chemical you are useing P.P.E is a must     the extension piece will remain full from trigger to nozzle

Get an old spraylance and cut it in half, get some hose that fits over the tube and a couple of hose clips, extend it to how long you need and buy a garden cane that length, tape it to the cane.

if you use a walking cane & leave the handle on       you could do round corners

 hi
do you have a telescopic lance, i use my chemical pick up on the pressure washer, turn the pressure  down and use black nozzle.

i have also used a cladding brush strapped to an unger window cleaning pole. just keep dunking it in a bucket. this only works on a small area cos its back breaking but quick if your just getting a mark off.

cheers

I use the one at the bottom of this page.

http://www.interiorlandscaping.co.uk/Sprayer.htm

Nice and light and apart from acid, seems to handle most chemicals.
Only 5 metres but if you add the height of the user it will almost get you there.

Would you consider that to be ideal for spraying hypo or an acid ? Hardy accurate and puts on a large amount of chemical. Would be ideal for putting TFR on a double decker bus though  ::) ::) ::)

Alan, Can you just buy the lance section with the hose? (black extendable part) Let me know how it goes, looks like a decent tool to have..
