Just starting out

Hello everyone. I am new to the site and have been reading the threads with great interest. I want to start up on my own just domestic house cleaning until I get a bit more established. I will provide my own products but I am not sure how quick to jump into this. Do I simply advertise?? Or do I get some testimonials first to go with my adverts?? Do I put flyers out?? Any information would be gratefully recieved.
