I've heard that alot of window cleaners struggle because insurance is so expensive, natwest have just quoted me £12.50 a month, public liabilty personal injury, cash on my person, £1mill accidetial property damage and a few other bits!!!! can't work higher that 3 stories - but don't want to! am i getting the wrong type of insurance because that seems bloody cheap

Public liability is usually pretty cheap, that's not the problem one.

When you employ workers, you have to have Employers Liability insurance, which covers you in case they have an accident and sue you, and this is expensive.

Re Insurance. just renewed mine . But found out from my broker that if I have another window cleaner with me to help out , even if he has his own insurance , I will be held liable for any accidents or damage caused by him or any injuries to him because it will be viewed by insurance company that he is my employee.
How much would it cost me to have Employers Liability and can I get that without actually employing him?. By that I mean , use him when needed or get him to look after a run for me?
Would be grateful for any advice on this
