As above, Got my first roof clean quote tommorrow.

Just wondering how you guys quote them? Do you charge on hourly plus abit more? or do you guys have a set roof price? im not asking for pices, or hourly rates, im just wanting some advice on the best way to quote them.

Cheers guys.

Do you use a roof ladder or a scaffold tower to access the roof?

What roof cleaning rotary are you using?

Hi mate,

Ladder. Not a massive roof, but none the less. Using standard lance. Looked at those roof rotary washing attachments, bit pricey considering i dont do that much roof work.

Hi Matt,

Why are you cleaning it? Is it to remove moss? If so we now try to brush/scrape rather than wash as is a lot easier and less messy (as it will be messy);)

Regards
Alan

Hi Alan,

Yeah mate, i havent seen it yet, but i assume it will be mossy. But i think the client wants the tiles cleaned too, to get back some colour, so i daresay i wont get away with scraping it.

I was just wondering how ppl quote a roof. i guess ill just go in for hourly. Plus abit more for being up on those ladders  ;D

i think you should look for around 6quid a metre for just pressure washing any less and you will kick yourself standard 3 bed semi would be 360 with average semi having roof area of 60metre squared

Hey Matt
Am interested to see how you got on as am looking for this kind of work (Yorkshire) and have done a fair bit of roofing. I'd appreciate you posting your method etc and how it went

Have a look on Google first. I got the following roof booked in without going to the house. If it's straight forward like this then it's easy to quote. It has a flat roof extension at the back which makes it easier too.

what do you think to the pricing per meter Lee (Blast Away) for up North as your in a similar pricing area! I appreciate it if you're reluctant to post it but would you say the below price is anywhere near??

I don't price by the meter mate. Experience shows what it's worth doing for and how much moss you're cleaning up from the ground and bagging.
Any price is a good price so long as it's cheaper than the Aquashield muppets. So they can continue with their silly prices for as long as they like for all I care.

 Hi
I heard a new method from someone the other day, they where going to connect to the street hydrant and FLOOD! the roof apparently the moss just falls off ,then its an hour to clean the gutters out and sweep up.

dont know if its true or if it works, your talking serious amounts of water.

would like to see it though.

 cheers

Living in scotland, if that method worked, then everyone would have clean roofs, all the rain we get up here  ;D
