turbo nozzles thoughts
« on: March 12, 2011, 02:00:39 pm »
hi guys, do you notice any differance in turbo nozzles?  been getting mine from tech clean lately but im not convinced. instead of a nice conical shape from them they seem to be what i descirbe as a vibrating cone and dont seem as powerfull. its not the filter blocked as i have checked. and when using im suffering from a lot of vibrations. yet when i put the spray fan lance on there is hardly any vibrations. so it must be the type of turbos im ggetting cos i never used to suffer this bad with aching right arm and numb hand?  they are only about £40 i think. has anyone else noticed the same thing? or can you recommend the top of the range model?  rather pay the extra than suffer and get white finger etc.  ???

are these the small red ones  from tech clean ? if so not had problem with them but have to clean in line filter after each job to keep optimal performance. they used to do a larger black one which was very good.

well one of them is a red one and one is blue. the old black one never had so much vibration in the lance. i have cleared the filters in both so it cant be blockages and the blue one is new.  ???

Hi DS,

I have taken the filters out of my turbo lances as are a pain in the arse (not sure if this is ok) but have both been ok so far (touch wood) ;)

Turbos's need to be matched to your pump. It's not always the case of any will work right with any pump.

Also open up the nozzle and check if the ceramic isn't chipped.

any & all nozzles should be matched to  pressure   flow rate   and most importantly to what you wash

yeah i know all that guys thanks. my pump is 15 litres a minute i have been told by malcleanse and dual pumps that i need to use 04 turbo nozzles. im sure jan would have sent me the right ones as its her machine i use. but im not happy with them. too much vibration, loss of pressure, not a smooth cone shape with them.

if you are not happy  your work wont be good   this season has just started   so get your self & equipment sorted   dont let the side down  i can only speak fom buying from dual pumps    they have massive stocks   if the have not got it   they can get it if its there    as blastAway says there could be a chip or flaw in the ceramic the eye cant see

DS if you've got a problem with the gear Tech clean have supplied take it up with them. Turbo nozzles are consumables just like broom heads and handles - you know where I'm coming from. Last year it was the unloaders you were moaning about - why do you have to have an autopsy on everything before you dip your hand into your wallet and buy essentials of your trade ? Buy yourself a new broom ::)
