did a bit of trad today on a new house first time in ages it was to awkward to wfp stuff all over ladders kicked out but it was gavel path so it dug in  it will be wfp now on glad i swaped over to wfp brings it home just how dodgey trad can be even after doing a recky of the job cnt be to carefull

that wouldnt have happened if you had took your time and set the ladders properly

did you have spikes, they usually stop that happening , mine slip on gravel now and again depends whats underneath if its concrete, you gotta be careful, if its soil just kick them in

i NEVER put ladders on gravel or wet decking or that imprinted concrete stuff that a lot of custies have these days!!its simply too dangerous.

If you have to use ladders and the floor is slippery, use a laddermate. Great piece of kit, use mine every time even if the ground is bone dry, level etc. Gives you four areas of contact instead of just two and the ladders can't slip away. {Thanks to a certain Mr Dolby for advice a while ago}

normaly use spikes on ladders but only had my ali ladders to day lent my wooden ones to a needy ladder monkey  any way it wasent expected job just one i picked up next door
