Glass balcony panels
«

Just wondering what is the best method to clean the outside of glass safety panels on apartment balconies where there are several levels of the same below.
ie. how do you catch your water (trad) so as to not drip all over the ones below.
Does anyone squeegee the water upwards ond over the top to the inside?

hi i would have 2men on a seprate balcony each time 1underneath 1above when the 1 as been cleaned above with mop and blade clean the 1 below with a fibre optic pad you can buy these already on a pole complete the pole length is about 1.7m and just keep moveing up as u go along done plenty like that .

if goin on jeffs post the idea is to do all the tops then start at the next level at thge same start point where you did the tops gives time for the water to disperse

The photo Jeff posted is the type, (thanks) but much bigger.
I would be doing just the one penthouse apartment and not the whole building. I cant see how to catch the squeegeed water unless I squeegee upwards.

Hi
If you are doing this type of cleaning leaning over the balcony
You will need a harness and bolt protection
And a very good risk assessment / method statement

A tricky one I think, unless you can hang a towel under it to soak up what's likely to fall then what about using a different method. What about Rainex or whatever it's called, spray on and wipe off. Comes up super clean and water repellent. Wouldn't fancy hanging over to polish it off though :-)
Just a thought.

If anyone below complains about drips etc, ask them what they do when it rains
