flow rate at brush head

2nd day cleaning wfp pole today, ive noticed when i extend my pole the flow rate starts to struggle and comes out in pulses. is this normal  ???

hi darren , ive got a pure freedom diy unit ( 250 lt ) using a gardiners clx. i contacted pure freedom and the said i might have a air lock ( which i had ) flushed that out but its still the same. you can hear the pump kicking in all the time. so frustrating ???

That does not sound right. I have 2 PF systems and have not had any probs apart from when they got frozen over the cold snap. Back to normal now. If its new just get PF to send you a new one. There is nothing worse than trying to work and not being able too cos of faulty equipement

its a surflo pump, its as low as possible. when i flushed it out this morning i timed my flow rate , 1.5 lts per minute. this was with the brush head off the hose tubing. all of the connctions are jubilee clips apart from the ones on the reel which are the o ring type.

Sounds the likeliest problem. Lie your pole on the floor fully extended and see if it still does it. Your flow rate probably needs adjusting as opposed to the pressure. Double check all connections though if it is spitting

No It doesnt spit , it's more like a pulse effect . The water comes out then dies off then comes out then dies off etc

Pulse effect could be the battery, but i'd expect that to happen more often - could be a loose connection

It's deffo not battery ,they sent me a new one. When you calibrate do you do so that the water comes out of the brush or do I need to close the in line tap

Have the water flowing, then when it's calibrated push the enter button and it will save the settings

...... And the reel constantly drips at the inlet ( brass conection ) should I wrap ptfe tape around it?

My hose reel drips a bit at the inlet, but its not enough to worry about.
Did you protectakote the floor of the van?
