FAO: Polewash re Window Cleaning in Australia
« on: February 14, 2011, 03:17:44 pm »
Hi mate,

Another forum member suggested that I ask you about window cleaning in Australia as apparently you do it out there.

Do you have an email address I can ask you a few questions on?

Cheers,

Caleb

I'm pretty sure Polewash joined this forum with a view to starting up a window cleaning biz, but ended up jacking it in, but staying on the forum; which is a nice compliment to us all, I think.

Im hoping polewash will give me his thoughts whenever he's next online.

Thanks for the info, and yeah I know that most homes have flyscreens. However where Id potentially be living (Sydney, eastern suburbs) the properties are affluent and like you say have alot of glass.

Im trying to work out now what other one-man business I could do out there? - I just cant go back to an office

Cheers,

Caleb

i started a guy off in the windows in mandurrah in W.A  south of perth when i was last there, he does mostly bungalows which is 95% of the houses anyway down there, they are more or less the same than the ones we have here in glasgow, except for the flyscreens, which takes ages to take out and put back in, i can do a bungalow in the uk inside and out in about half an hour to an hour, but the oz ones takes at least 2 hours, mind you they get a whole lot more dosh for them there, i think he is now charging 200 bucks per house.
