I find the poles are fine, but the clamps are Crap the services isn't much better  you'll not go far wrong with Gardiners pole systems.

All our lads have the aluminium alloy poles.  Good and strong, stand up to a lot of abuse - hard wearing, rarely have to adjust the clamps - light enough to use all day.

Good value for money.

From what i can gather they are love or hate poles, i like them , if a bit heavy , i got the 7,18,25 foot package they were doing a while back for £195 , now that cant be sniffed at , it was the hydra alloy range.
I was using a hybrid extel , lovely pole , but it was near £300 , im one for value and 3 poles for 200 is gonna win against 1 for 300

As FOR DELIVERY ,had a few probs , packaging was damaged as where 2 poles, only scratches and a couple of light dents , luckily my people who took delivery of the poles had the sense to write of damage on delivery paperwork , i rang them , was asked to send pics of damaged parcel and poles , within a couple of days i got 4 new sections , they didnt even want the old sections back , all still very usable , in fact the new sections are still in the packaging , winner  ;D

If your looking for downstairs pole the 3 section hydra alloy is the way to go , it would and could take a right beating , as for clamps and levers being crap , thats nonsense , what it boils down to is the way the poles are treated , ive had universal , extender, facelift, extel, hydra , over the six years of going , i have never broken a single lever or clamp on any of them !

I think brodex poles are excellent value for money.I use them. There was an issue
with the clamps, but they revised these to make them sprung loaded  and I have
not had problem since. They can take some punishment.

Just a tip:if the clamps work loose from the pole,I put a strip of duct tape round the
pole section and then super glue on the duct tape and then the clamp. This works really well
and sorts the problem.

I have had a couple of brodex, and was happy with them until I had a go at the gardiner poles. Best advice get a carbon pole from gardiner.
if it is dirty it is fair game

I've taken to changing the bolt and nut, they are left handed thread which means it all has to be changed, but works well with a wing nut!

I'm not anti brodex by any means, I bought my system from them a few years ago now, but the way i have been treated in the past means i Wont buy anything from them again unless I'm desperate.

Shaun who owns the company is a great guy and really pulled me out of the mess sometime ago, but seems they lost the personal touch, when certain staff arrived and others left.

I have an ecolite 18 ft from brodex, been happy with.

But i think the main problem with brodex poles; to my knowledge they do not do an everyday pole say 22 ft that collapses to a nice size (5 ft) that is god for downstairs windows.

I get by with the ecolite but it is a pain doing downstairs windows with!

And i am looking forward to soon getting probably the 22 ft Clx.( from gardiner pole systems)

Anyone know if i got the 27ft CLX; is it easy to remove and put back 1 or 2 of the sections?, as i only have a handful f jobs that are 30ft.
wouldn't want to be using heavier than needed.

Alloy poles great. Not the lightest but robust and almost indestructable

Had an 18ft hydra carbon good and light, but clamps crap. I am careful with my gear but this pole only lasted 8 months. When it was sent out the second section was swollen at the end so would not colapse properly into the 1st section. After service was good and replacement part was sent straight out.

Would I buy from brodex again. Would need to see the gear first before buying to give it a good examination. But that will go for any pole I buy from now on.

Brodes alloy poles :) 18ft and over tend to get a little heavy after a while but they do take the work.
the little 7 footer is great for down stairs windows, never an isue with clamps they are covered by them anyway.
there service is absolutly A1 and if I need something I get it same day.

Forgot I am only a mile away
