shout out to mr moss
« on: February 08, 2011, 08:50:38 am »
(may get deleted but personally think its worth a shout)

just feed back from the course a few on here did yesterday.

can honestly say i thoroughly enjoyed it. certainly covered subjects i personally was interested in, odour removal and the chemistry of was fascinating, maybe a full one day course involved as we only touched on the subject, thoroughly enjoyed the bonneting, including some bizzarre methods that really make you think. and the carpet and upholstery repair (which none of us wanted to see  ;D ) was made to look so easy.

pauls a natural teacher and constantly tells people, that this is his way, and not necessarily the right way for you.

also got to put faces to names on here, enjoyed the banter and it turned out a really good laugh, shame about the gale force winds though.

overall, thoroughly recommend it.

I watched Paul at ccdo a few years ago restoring a leather chair,
was pretty amazing to watch, and seemed to talk in a language
everyone could understand.
He did point out it was his way of doing things, and maybe not as
others would teach.

I would love to go on a leather day with him, just got a leather suite
yesterday, saved from a skip  :o  when workshop built at new house
i am gonna have a go at restoring it.

i can only echo the previous posters sentiments and i also think paul moss and derek west have got some interesting ideas as to how carpet cleaners  could move forward as a professional body in a way that would be more beneficial to participants.

come on lads i know you have to make a living first but if you apply the same drive and energy to bring your ideas to fruition as you do to your businesses you can't fail.

long live the revolution

Great day, nice to get real life answers and tips and not the 'party line' you get from standard courses.
No bull, just the benefit of someone elses experiences - fantastic.

I wish I had gone on it - I really wanted to as it sounds amazing just the thing I'm looking for. I hope Paul lets us all know when his next one is cos I'll be there like a shot.

Real life expertise as opposed to influence from suppliers, yep thats for me.

Just wanted to add my 'two penneth'......

Many thanks to Paul for a great training day.  I picked up a lot of knowledge, tips & ideas.

The background detail on bacteria was great to help understand what causes odours. I enjoyed the chemistry lesson looking at the ingredients of many common cleaning solutions.  The carpet and fabric repair session was a real eye opener.  As was the bonneting session - looking forward to trying out some of the techniques demonstrated.

It was well worth the trip from Dorset.

Yeah. Excellent day.
Was good to meet everyone, it`s helped big time in getting myself motivated,
which was one of the main reasons I went.
Came away with a lot more than I expected.
Big thanks to Paul.

he took his shoe's off and walked round in white socks , the white socks picked up the black sock bobbles , bit like the way magnets attract  :o
