It won`t, if you`re trad.
I used to take a few 5 litre tubs with me (as well as a bucket of water), depending on where I was working.
Customers have water and there`s usually outside taps, if you`re stuck.

im filling up 2 buckets (i use rainwater as well) but by the time i reach my destination theres only a couple of inches left in the bottom of both most of it is in the back of my van
it looks a little un-professional asking a custy for water so i have to go home and refill sometimes i can make 3 to 4 trips before i have enough for a days work
should i use clingfilm on the tops of my buckets to eliminate spillage

any tips would be helpful as i think i must be doing something wrong or should i just drive slower around corners

You can buy a bucket with a lid on, but they`re not cheap.
You could get a 25 litre barrel and fill your bucket when you get to work. They don`t cost much and you could get one free, off a wfp user or from a car wash. I used to use 5 litre screenwash tubs though.
My customers used to want to give me water and I would often let them. They thought they were helping and getting clean water on their windows and I was keeping them happy.

Back in the day....

We used to use 2 x 25 litre containers, and fill up each morning with hot water. This more or less lasted 2 men all day long.

I take a 23 ltr beer barrel with me in the car and use it for a full days work.... in the bottom of my bucket i have a mesh tray that stand of the bottom so the dirt off the head is never put back in to the dirt off the bottom.

thanks for the tip I gave your suggestion a go this morning
unfortunetly my first job was 30 mins away and I very nearly drowned
this may somewhat limit my working area
anyone any more suggestions

just top up with urine at regular intervals it is nice and warm. and stick your applicator in the bucket it acts as a baffle.

I fill my bucket to the half way mark, squirt some fairy liquid and add a dash of vinegar. I then agitate it with the squeegee, then place the bucket in the back of the van.

I place an old bath towel over the bucket to stop the water sloshing about. Works for me.

I addition I keep a 25 litre flagon of fresh water in the van.

but i would just suggest that at various stages through your working day that you find a customer with an outside tap and just top your bucket up....lol....this has got to be a wind up...i love these types of questions.....

like people have said just put some warm/hot water in bucket in the morning about a quarter full dont want be lugging a full bucket round,and thats all i use all day, i havnt got time change my water or waste my fairy 

you could just fill a couple of 2 ltr coke bottles if you feel you need change it but unless your doing a load of first cleans dont bother,if a custy asks just say you change it a few times a day,you wont get cleaner windows by changing it after 2 or 3 houses
