Hi guys

I was thinking of getting one of these as they have a scraper on the back of the brush looks like a good idea
and the whole range of brushs are light as well.

the white brush,no idea what it is but never been impressed,i prefer my vikan sill, that can clean windows and sills so easily and far better than the superlite that only tickles bird poop, one wipe with the vikan sill and its all gone!

I agree

There are also MANY variations of the super-lite & even improved versions of a variation!

To just say "I don't like the SL" doesn't do it the justice it deserves. Which one? how old is it?

There's only one I'm not keen on out of the whole range.

By God it would be nice to have an unbiased opinion of one ! I can not for the life of me understand why they (tecbuk i think) did not distribute even just 1 or 2 to experienced forum members/users as if they are as good as claimed it would shine through.
Personally i simply refuse to pay out £60 appx to be a guinea pig.

This is my current opinion and I`ve never seen one in the flesh.

They are small, the edges of the stock are sharp corners and could potentially cause damage, a forum member Alex, says they are brilliant but also touts all things tecbuk including a book they sell which he purports to own and is full of great info though he would rather not share this, there are many variations, nylon, polyester etc and no detailed info as to why they differ, the site is not user friendly, they are a massive price, though recently seem to have got cheaper but then this seems to just be one type of brush.

Personally I have used the following -
Vikan oval flocked
vikan rectangle (red) mono
Vikan rectangle (red and green) flocked
vikan sill mono
vikan sill flocked
original gaz brush (yellow crinkle salmon I think)
bentley brush
gardiners SL mono white very first edition
gardiners SL mono whie, a later edition, not sure which one
Gardiners xtreme mono xtra long
Gardiners SL DT FLOCKED 0 DEGREE
Gardiners SL DT FLOCKED standard
Gardiner SL DT flocked 15 degree

My personal favourite is the SL DT 15 degree, followed by the standard.

I think the sl flocked 15 degree is an excellent brush, much better than the mono versions of the brush.

the corners are ok I use the brushes on georgian windows
no need to rush, these brushes clean faster than anything you have used before
move onto the next window much sooner than you would normally

as for the price of the aerial brush, the quality cant be nmatched, not even half way
to be fair all the other brushes are cheap to make, so its not fair to compare

the brushes do differ the black ones bristles are about 3 times thicker than the red
as for the book its about running cost priceing increasing profits customer base
if you already got the answer mate dont bother buying it

I`d like one but am afraid of being wrong and believing sales patter especially as they are not cheap.

Alex, you definitely definitely definitely have some form of connection with tecbuk so how am i supposed to believe your comments on the brushes are 100% objective.

If i was sure there was a better brush out there then the price does not become the most important factor.
Personally i shall hold back for now as something just doesn`t feel quite right, maybe its a lack of independent feedback or just the fact there isn`t any feedback except from Alex.

How about tecbuk explaining why a black bristle is 3 times the thickness of a red one or why some bristles are nylon and some polyester, confuse em you lose em and thats also  whats  happening with me(easy done).

I can see how a brush can be so much quicker unless you have been using a brush with cotton bristles. Most windows barely need a scrub anyway, so i very much doubt a window could be cleaner any quicker with this brush than most other brushes!

Could you tell us how much all these "others" cost to manufacture please Alex?

My guess is you can't.

I agree with some others here, something don't add up & I think it's quite obvious what's going on.

The OTT sales patter don't do you any favours! ::) ;D ;D ;D

i have to admit that they do look well made compared to the SL, the stock on the SL bows slightly and you can see the bristles coming through the back of the stock, but that has no effect on the cleaning ability, so the tecbuk brush does look very well made, but that does seem to be reflected in the price  :(
